Ms. Veronica Lee Crabtree, known in the series as Mrs. Crabtree, was a fictional character in the animated series "South Park". She was voiced by the late Mary Kay Bergman in seasons 1-3 and Eliza Schneider in seasons 4-6. She was the school bus driver.

Appearance

She wore a blue sweater and green trousers. She had crooked yellow teeth, baggy eyes, an angry expression (most of the time), and messy, scraggly brown hair. Her hair used to have a bird living in it, until it was killed off as well as her.

Death

Ms. Crabtree was murdered - as well as the bird nesting on her head - by a serial killer in the 2004 episode "Cartman's Incredible Gift". At that point she had not been seen for a long time, and this was even commented on by Sergeant Yates in that episode. He said: "She may not have been in any recent episodes, but dammit she deserved better than this!" The schoolbus is now driven by a seemingly Hispanic man.

Character

She appeared to be suffering from paranoia, or at least was mentally unstable. She constantly screamed "Sit down 'n shut up!", or screeched "Be quiet back there!" or asked the children on her bus "What did you say?" after they insulted her. They would say something else that sounds similar in order to avoid trouble, but Stan once just repeated what he said to her, and she responded with,"Oh, OK."

In the episode Cartman's Mom Is a Dirty Slut, it is implied at the end of the episode that she may have had sexual intercourse with Liane Cartman, making her a potential 2nd mother of Eric Cartman. (but since she was murdered, she has been eliminated from the Possible Mothers list)

In the episode "Fat Camp", Kenny was supposed to crawl into her uterus and stay there for six straight hours before coming out. She was excited about being on TV, and having this happen. She said: "I feel great! I haven't had this much attention paid to my cootch since I was 16!". Yet in a later scene, when Kenny's lookalike, who went in for him since he was in prison, came out dead, she said: "I told you I was a tight virgin flower." This is probably a continuity error.

She has similarity with the school bus driver in the movie "Forrest Gump", as the school bus driver who picked up Forrest Gump also was a lady with a bird in her hair.
